What this site is

Polymath is an educational course about the mathematics of prediction markets. It is provided for informational and educational purposes only. Nothing on this site is investment, financial, trading, legal, or tax advice; nothing is a recommendation, offer, or solicitation to buy or sell any security, contract, or other instrument; and the publisher is not a broker-dealer, registered investment adviser, or fiduciary in any jurisdiction. Simulations use hypothetical numbers and do not represent actual trading. Case studies summarize published journalism; the outcomes described are exceptional, not typical. Trading on prediction markets involves substantial risk of loss and may be restricted or unlawful where you live; verifying legality where you live is your responsibility. If you make financial decisions, make them with a licensed professional who knows your circumstances — not with a course.

This site is an independent work. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Polymarket or any prediction-market operator or trading venue. Polymarket is a trademark of its respective owner, used here only to refer to it as a subject of study.

Terms of use

• Licence. Buying the course grants you a personal, non-transferable licence to read and use it for your own learning, on your own devices, indefinitely. It does not transfer copyright, and it does not permit republishing, reselling, or sharing your licence key.
• One buyer, one licence. Licence keys are limited to a small number of device activations. Sharing a key beyond your own devices may cause it to stop validating.
• No warranty of outcome. The course teaches mathematics. We make no promise, express or implied, that anything here will make you money, and no representation that any account will achieve results similar to any example. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the publisher is not liable for trading or investment losses, or for indirect or consequential damages, arising from use of this material. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, and nothing affects statutory consumer rights that cannot be waived.
• Accuracy. We work hard to keep the mathematics correct and cite our sources, but the material is provided "as is" and may contain errors. If you find one, tell us — we fix things.
• Changes. The course is maintained; content may be revised, expanded, or corrected. Your one-time purchase includes future updates to the course.

Purchases, EU withdrawal right & refunds

• The seller of record is Polar (Polar Software Inc.), our merchant of record. Polar processes payment, issues your receipt and licence key, and collects and remits applicable VAT, GST, and sales taxes. Their checkout terms and privacy policy apply to the transaction itself.
• Digital content, immediate delivery. This is digital content delivered immediately after purchase. For EU/UK consumers: by purchasing, you request immediate performance and acknowledge that you thereby lose the statutory 14-day right of withdrawal for digital content (Art. 16(m), Consumer Rights Directive 2011/83/EU, and the UK equivalent), as presented at checkout.
• Our refund policy is more generous than the statute. If the course is not for you, reply to your receipt email within 14 days of purchase and you will receive a full refund, no questions asked. This voluntary policy does not limit any non-waivable statutory rights, including remedies for defective digital content under EU Directive 2019/770.

Privacy

The short version: this site does not want your data. No analytics, no advertising identifiers, no marketing e-mail list, no accounts, no third-party trackers.

• What we process, and why. When you unlock the course, your licence key is sent to our server and forwarded to Polar to confirm it is valid (performance of a contract, GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)). Our infrastructure provider (Cloudflare) processes IP addresses and request logs transiently to serve the site and prevent abuse (legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f)). We run no database of our own and build no profiles.
• Cookies and local storage. After a successful unlock we set one first-party session cookie so the course stays unlocked, and your browser stores your licence key locally so you don't retype it. Both are strictly necessary for the service you asked for; under the ePrivacy rules they need no consent banner, which is why there isn't one. No other cookies exist.
• Purchase data. Your name, e-mail, and payment details are collected by Polar as merchant of record under Polar's privacy policy. We receive confirmation that a licence is valid; we do not receive or store your payment details.
• International transfers. Polar and Cloudflare are U.S. companies and process data under their published GDPR transfer safeguards (standard contractual clauses / Data Privacy Framework, per their documentation).
• Your rights. EU/UK residents may exercise GDPR rights (access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection) and may lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Since we hold almost nothing, most requests are answered by pointing at this page — but write to us and we will act on whatever we do hold. California residents: we do not sell or share personal information as defined by the CCPA/CPRA.
